Snarkitecture was recently invited to create a performance for Since Now From Then, a conference organized by Storefront for Art and Architecture. We arrived with air horns and a secret word. While the conversation between the four past and present directors of Storefront continued, any time the word “architecture” was spoken, it was replaced by this sound:
From Storefront director Eva Franch i Gilabert.
You might remember that horn, disturbingly - or elegantly - interrupting some now and then the conversation between the 4 directors around noon. That space of noise was a performance by Snarkitecture. Architecture was being blanked out from the dialogical exchange.
